Join us at the Johannesburg Summit 2024
This year, AfricArena will organise 6 hybrid events across 4 regions in Africa, building up to the annual AfricArena Summit in Cape Town. The Regional Events will bring together startups, investors and corporations operating in the Region and across Africa. 20+ startups from Africa will be selected to pitch at the Johannesburg Event. Those events will act as a semi-final pitch sessions before our Grand Summit in Cape Town in December 2024.
The Johannesburg Summit will take place on the 23rd April 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa at 22 On Sloane. The one-day conference will feature pitches from 20+ startups operating all across Africa in specific sectors, between Seed stage and Growth stage, as well as keynotes and panel discussions from the top minds in business, tech and investment in the region.

As part of its Johannesburg Tour, AfricArena is organising a series of events alongside The Johannesburg Summit,which is scheduled to take place on the 23rd April 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa at 22 On Sloane. The one-day conference will feature pitches from 20+ startups operating all across Africa in specific sectors, between Seed stage and Growth stage, as well as keynotes and panel discussions from the top minds in business, tech and investment in the region.
VC unconference weekend
On the weekend leading up to AfricArena 2024 Johannesburg Summit, the VC Unconference Weekend which will be held at Pilanesburg will provide informal engagement opportunities for an unfiltered exchange of innovative ideas around deal sourcing, execution, portfolio management and realisation.
This invitation-only initiative has four key objectives:
1. Mapping the ecosystem within the African technology ventures
2. Creating a standardized knowledge data room
3. Establishing investment best practice, systems and processes
4. Facilitating co-investment opportunities, deal syndication and ecosystem cohesion

This year it will be held from the 20th to 22nd of April 2024.
FOUNDERS' BOOTCAMP
A private workshop dedicated to selected startups from across the countries will be pitching at the AfricArena Summit.
It aims to create strong connections, peer-to-peer learning between the entrepreneurs, training and equipping startups with the necessary tools and knowledge to prepare them to showcase and effectively deliver high quality, concise and engaging pitches to the right audience.

Prior to our AfricArena Johannesburg Summit event happening on the 23rd of April 2024, AfricArena, powered by AfricArise, offers an incredible opportunity to african-based corporates and investors willing to experience the booming startup ecosystem across Johannesburg on the 22nd of April from 9 AM.
