Junior Product & Web Content Coordinator

​​Key Responsibilities

​​

Content Management

 

  • Upload and organize startup and investor content on the AfricArena website and Wired platform.

  • Regularly update platform content including event replays, decks, and founder profiles.

  • Monitor platform submissions (e.g. form responses) and coordinate follow-ups.

Website & Page Management (Wix)

​

  • Update existing content and create new pages on the AfricArena website as needed.

  • Coordinate design and messaging updates in line with campaigns and upcoming events.

  • Ensure the site reflects accurate and up-to-date program information.

​

 Digital Events Support

​

  • Set up and manage online events (e.g. webinars) including scheduling, registration links, and promotional assets.

  • Coordinate live support during virtual events and ensure recordings are uploaded to the platform and YouTube.

​

  Multimedia & Promotion

​

  • Cut and edit event videos for YouTube and embed them into relevant pages.

  • Collaborate on creating promotional assets (banners, thumbnails, visuals) for digital use.

  • Support social media or newsletter content if needed.

 

 Product Coordination

 

  • Assist in ensuring the platform is functional, user-friendly, and reflects feedback from users.

  • Liaise with the product manager or technical team for bug reporting or minor improvements.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate (or final-year student) in a relevant field such as; Digital Media, Marketing, Information Systems, Communication, Multimedia or UI/UX Design.

  • No prior full-time experience required, but previous internships, freelance work, or student projects will be a plus.

  • Comfortable working with Wix (or similar CMS platforms) for updating websites and creating pages.

  • Skilled with Canva or similar design tools — must have a good eye for layout, branding, and design consistency.

  • Strong command of Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets (data tracking, basic formulas, cleanup) and Google Docs (content writing, formatting).

  • Good visual sense — able to design simple and clean digital assets that match brand tone.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working with video content (basic trimming/editing/uploading is a plus).

  • Solid analytical skills — capable of handling datasets, interpreting simple metrics, and keeping platforms updated with accurate info.

  • Organized, self-starter, and proactive — able to manage tasks independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Your Profile

  •  Basic understanding of digital marketing, social media management, or SEO.

  • Experience with hosting or managing webinars (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).

  • Interest in tech startups, innovation ecosystems, or venture capital in Africa.
